Digital Light Processing (DLP):
Extreme light intensity, virtually unlimited life expectancy, and digital precision of the illumination are unsurpassable advantages of the projection technology with digital micro mirror displays.
The microscopic mirror suspensions (red) have virtually unlimited life expectancy due to the effect of hyper elasticity.

Digital Modulation

Gray value precision is absolutely decisive for many applications, and with DLP this is granted by digital pulse width modulation. Due to their very fast switching times, DLP-Displays have a linearity much better than 1:1000 !
Alternatively, up to 8000 binary (black/white-) pictures can be generrated every second.
10 times faster than even F-LCOS, and with superior thermal stability and durability, DLP are ideal for any kind of applications.

GFM 3D-Metrology : Phase Measuring Fringe Projection

Fringe patterns consisting of parallel stripes are projected onto the object surface, and their perspective distortion is seen by a camera. Geometrically, the measurement of any single image pixel equals a classical triangulation, but here the entire surface area is acquired at once. By also exploiting fringe 'phase' values (fractions of a stripe width), an orders of magnitude higher precision is achieved.
Advantages:
- Area based, hence fast acquisition
- Mesuring times from <<1 sec.!
- Pixel wise height acquisition
- Extreme height resolution
- Large vertical range with just one measurement
